Finnair Technical Operations division's task is to execute Finnair's flight operations safely, economically and in a reliable manner. Finnair Technical Operations is responsible for the airworthiness of the Finnair fleet. The key objectives of Technical Operations are safety, reliable flight operations and cost-efficient maintenance processes.

We are now looking for a

HEAD OF ENGINEERING SERVICES

who will be responsible for the management and development of safety management system, continuing airworthiness, aircraft lifecycle related services within Finnair Technical Operations. As part of the engineering services scope, you will also be leading a cross functional team in Helsinki and Finnair Business Services in Tartu.

Your Main Responsibilities Will Include

  • Responsible for management and development of the safety management system and compliance related items within Technical Operations domain: Part-CAMO, Part-145, Part-21 and other relevant regulations. Continuous improvement of technical operations procedures through regulated processes e.g. airworthiness reviews, compliance checks and audits.
  • Management of the continuing airworthiness and maintenance organization technical publications, maintenance data availability & records processes. Constantly developing the records standards and tools to align with the industry standard to support future aircraft transactions.
  • Responsible for aircraft lifecycle related services for the Finnair and customer fleets including lessor audits and fleet transactions. Together with the team upkeeping a real-time view of redelivery readiness of the fleet with estimate workload forecasts for future aircraft transactions.

Our Expectations

  • +5 years of experience in applicable aircraft engineering duties or at least 2 years in aircraft maintenance and 3 years in other relevant technical / industry position
  • Strong safety management system and risk management understanding
  • Good knowledge of aircraft maintenance and continuing airworthiness philosophy, principles and regulations
  • Good understanding of aircraft lifecycle related projects
  • Good command of English for the purpose of spoken communication with lessors/OEMs/other airlines and writing formal and accurate statements and contract textual content
  • Strong management skills: good communication, leadership- and interpersonal skills
  • Applicable technical education at B.Sc. or M.Sc. level
