Summary

Posha builds cooking robots that live inside your kitchen and cook food for you completely autonomously. Posha robots use Artificial Intelligence enabled Computer Vision to consistently and reliably cook the best food for our users 🥘

Posha is a fast-growing Series-A funded startup backed by Tier-1 VCs 💙 including Accel Partners, Waterbridge Ventures.

🤔 What can I expect from this role?

We're looking for a PCB design engineer who can architect the electronic backbone of our cooking robotics systems. Your circuit designs will power everything from cloud connectivity for recipe sharing to the precise motor control systems that make cooking automation possible

🔧What will my work responsibilities look like if I join Posha?

  • Hardware Design: Develop analog and digital circuits for cooking robotics applications using multi-layer board stack-ups with high-speed serial techniques.
  • Debugging & Testing: Get hands-on with debugging and testing proposed solutions to ensure they meet our high standards for performance and reliability.
  • EMI/EMC Compliance: Ensure our embedded hardware is shielded and compliant with EMI/EMC regulations, addressing magnetic fields induced around and inside the enclosure.
  • Power & Communication: Design power and communication topologies that meet the needs of our robotic systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our cross-functional teams to integrate hardware components into robotics systems.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • PCB Design & Evaluation: Create and evaluate PCB designs for optimal performance and manufacturability.

What makes you a match for us? 😍

  • Proficiency in PCB Design Tools: Experience with OrCAD, PADS, or Altium is a must.
  • Microprocessor Layout: A strong understanding of microprocessor layout principles is essential.
  • EMI/EMC Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of EMI/EMC principles and regulations is required.
  • Signal Integrity & Noise Cancellation: Expertise in signal integrity and noise cancellation techniques is necessary.
  • Power Electronics: Familiarity with power electronics is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience in hardware design for robotics or related fields.
  • Problem-Solving & Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Robotics Platforms: Experience working with robotics platforms or similar embedded systems would be beneficial.
  • Scripting & Automation: Knowledge of scripting languages like Python for automation and testing is a plus.
  • Mechanical Design Tools: Familiarity with mechanical design tools like SolidWorks for enclosure design collaboration is helpful.
  • Certifications: EMI/EMC certifications or relevant industry certifications are preferred.
  • Experience with UL and FCC Standards: Familiarity with UL (Underwriters Laboratories) and FCC standards for designing complex hardware systems is highly valued.
