Summary

About the Company - As a Product Operations Contractor in the Green Manufacturing space, you will be responsible for tracking, verifying, and supporting multiple environmental initiatives across global supplier sites. These initiatives include energy efficiency projects, emissions abatement, and increased use of recycled content in product materials. You will collaborate closely with Product Operations and ESCI teams to scope and implement impactful projects, develop site-specific targets, and ensure progress toward corporate sustainability goals. In certain cases, you will serve as a subject matter expert in both facility systems (HVAC, boilers, compressed air, etc.) and production line equipment (vacuum generators, heat pumps, etc.), driving performance improvements and decarbonization strategies. In addition, you will lead initiatives to scope and secure recycled material sourcing capacity, mitigate supply chain risks, and support supplier enablement for low-carbon operations and material circularity. You will also be responsible for creating playbooks and supplier guides with recommendations and requirements for equipment selection, energy efficiency, emissions abatement, and recycled material integration.



Responsibilities -



  • Collect, maintain, and summarize environmental project data for multiple suppliers and sites
  • Onsite verification of energy efficiency installation, direct emissions abatement, recycled material transitions, waste management practice implementation (travel required)
  • Virtual or onsite verification of energy efficiency savings, ROI calculations, and feasibility studies for specific technology implementation
  • Track supplier and supply chain program progress against goals for energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and recycled content; identify gaps and drive resolution with internal teams
  • Develop and collect equipment, infrastructure, and line layout best practices and recommendations to optimize energy efficiency and direct emissions abatement for new and existing building development and retrofits.
  • Engage and work with suppliers to implement optimized equipment and infrastructure requirements during the facility planning and development phase, and continue support during the physical facility building phase.
  • Work with suppliers to make sure they understand recycled content product roadmaps and they adhere to the plans
  • Create trainings and/or additional resources to aid the internal and external teams understanding of environmental projects
  • Build strong relations with industry stakeholders and customers to understand their challenges and priorities, define roadmaps, and drive actions
  • Lead and influence Apple cross functional teams to engage in additional environmental projects and provide information on environmental strategies for in region teams
  • Train Apple team members on environmental initiatives to deploy at individual sites and LOBs, as needed
  • Engage and work with suppliers to implement optimized equipment and infrastructure requirements during the facility planning and development phase, and continue support during the physical facility building phase.
  • Provide recommendations to the team to increase program efficiency and productivity



Qualifications -



  • BA/BS in relevant technical field (engineering, sciences, statistics, economics, or similar)
  • 10+ years of facilities experience, preferably in consumer electronics industries
  • 5+ years of relevant energy efficiency and environmental work experience
  • Fluent in English and Chinese; ability to translate technical topics required



Preferred Skills -



  • Self-starter with the ability to independently create content without requiring detailed, step by step direction
  • Proven experience in conducting independent site audits, identifying energy-saving opportunities, and implementing improvements.
  • Demonstrated experience working with International OEM partners, building collaborative relationships and driving results
  • In-depth knowledge of Apple organizational structure, internal systems and tools, and supplier requirements. Prior experience working within Apple preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with a proven track record of success coordinating multiple stakeholders, technical program managers, and engineering teams across complex projects
  • Strong ability to distill complex technical information into clear, high-level executive summaries and actionable insights
