Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Grant Writer at VACCEB located in Oakland, CA. The Grant Writer will be responsible for grant administration, proposal writing, prospect research, grant writing, and fundraising to support the organization's mission and programs.

Qualifications

• Proven success in securing grants, sponsorships, and individual donations.
• Proposal Writing and Fundraising experience
• Expertise in Prospect Research
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Experience working in non-profit organizations
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue goals.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, grantmakers, corporate sponsors, and government agencies.
• Plan and coordinate fundraising events, including galas, community events, and donor appreciation activities.
• Represent VACCEB at networking events, community meetings, and with government officials to build partnerships and funding opportunities.
• Work with program and finance teams to align funding needs with organizational goals.
• Prepare and submit grant proposals, reports, and funding documentation.
• Monitor fundraising trends and adjust strategies to maximize results.
• Maintain donor and stakeholder databases to track communications and relationships.
• Support leadership with strategic planning and resource development.
