Job Summary: The Grants Analyst will be responsible for managing and overseeing the grant application process, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, and providing support to faculty and staff in securing external funding. This role involves detailed financial analysis, reporting, and coordination with various departments to facilitate successful grant management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grant Application Management: Assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations related to grant funding.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis and forecasting for grant budgets, including tracking expenditures and preparing financial reports.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to funding agencies, detailing the progress and financial status of funded projects.
  • Support and Training: Provide training and support to faculty and staff on grant application procedures and compliance requirements.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of grant-funded projects within the institution.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of grant applications, awards, and related correspondence.

Qualifications

  • 3+ yrs. Post Award Grants Analysis
  • Thorough understanding of research administration guidelines of Federal and non-Federal sponsors supporting research and educational activities, preferably in a university environment.
  • Ability to manage significant volume of transactions. Ability to perform complex financial analysis and customized reporting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting, fiscal and reporting principles.
  • Demonstrated competence in the use of spreadsheet and database software in financial analysis, fiscal management and financial reports.
  • Ability to maintain independent judgment; strong organization and communication skills; and a customer service focus across broad and diverse subject areas.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
