Summary

As our business continues to grow throughout QLD and nationwide, we are looking for experienced Regional Manager to continue to drive our business in Queensland and join our company.  


You will be part of the leadership team, playing a transformative role pursuing growth opportunities, building a team, client relationships and driving operations. You will be supported by our National General Manager and broader team in a business that is committed to people and purpose.  


Key Responsibilities 

  • Manage and drive CGC’s QLD’s business forward. 
  • Pursue opportunities and build relationships in the QLD region.
  • Lead, develop, mentor, and manage the CGC QLD team. 
  • Lead project teams, oversee projects, prepare proposals, provide geotechnical analysis, interpretation, input and reporting for projects and market sectors which CGC is involved in.  
  • Undertake complex and challenging geotechnical design and reporting. 
  • Provide geotechnical advice and consult on geotechnical issues to clients and internal staff. 
  • Champion our social commitment - to improve opportunities for young people facing disadvantage.


We are Civil Geotechnical Consultants (CGC) - a civil engineering company that specialises in providing geotechnical engineering solutions for transport and civil infrastructure, with offices based in Brisbane, Townsville, Cairns, Melbourne, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. We have been involved in many national building infrastructure projects such as the Coomera Connector and Cross River Rail.

Who are we looking for?

Key Characteristics, Skills & Experience 

  • 12+ years industry experience in Geotechnical Engineering.  
  • Experience in project management delivery, managing budgets, teams, stakeholders, and timeframes. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Strong report writing skills, organising information in a coherent and logical way. 
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, employing a risk-based approach. 
  • Good technical knowledge and application in soil/rock mechanics. 
  • Fieldwork experience in various geological conditions. 
  • Demonstrated behaviours of integrity, resilience, respect, collaboration, accountability, and innovation. 
  • Chartered Engineer and/or RPEQ preferred. 
  • The right to work in Australia.
