You will join a best-in-class and fast-paced environment in the Sydney office, with the role will work closely with the broader digital and technical team and client stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of designing, developing, and maintaining robust WordPress and Shopify-based web applications that drive our clients' online success, whilst also getting invaluable exposure to sophisticated data and technical projects that support both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex WordPress/ WooCommerce and Shopify-based websites and e-commerce platforms
• Collaborate with the design team to translate visual designs into functional, responsive, and user-friendly web experiences
• Implement clean, efficient, and scalable code using modern web development techniques following industry best practise and coding standards.
• Participate in the analysis and composition of requirements to ensure first-class delivery of services.
• To develop solutions written in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Configure and manage databases eg. MySQL, PHPMyAdmin
• Optimise website performance, security, and search engine visibility
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, ensuring a seamless user experience including QA and preparing technical documentation
• To identify software inefficiencies, and errors and recommend improvements 
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with the wider development team. 
• Stay up to date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and best practices
• Candidates must be flexible and a fast learner, whilst also be able to adapt as the roles requires and as the industry continues to change.
• You’ll be responsible to stay at the forefront and knowledgeable of industry updates and best practises, and relaying knowledge to all relevant stakeholders.
• Understand and work with stakeholders to balance priorities of the business
• Dedicated and demonstrate flexibility and agility to balance multiple projects, navigate through ambiguity and complexity to provide a clear path for opportunities that would benefit our customers
• Results oriented, taking the initiative and ownership and makes things happen on time and with attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills in order to establish quick rapport and build partnership relationships and work effectively with key stakeholders
• You will have a real passion for delivering real commercial outcomes
• Preference for candidates with experience working in a fast-paced environment have attention to detail.

Knowledge

• 6+ years’ experience in a Full-stack web development role, with a strong focus on custom WordPress and Shopify development.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, JQuery, Bootstrap, and other major JS frameworks. 
• Expertise in responsive design, performance optimisation, search engine optimisation and conversion rate optimisation.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and project management tools
• Proficiency in Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and API integrations
• Comfortable in configuring and managing basic dev ops systems and processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Experience in working with remote teams and managing projects in a distributed setting
