Position Overview:

At weavix, the key to our growth is a high-performing Engineering team creating products and solutions that the world is asking for. We are seeking a qualified Full Stack Software Engineer to, develop and ensure our customers experience reliable and robust products, services, and solutions.

As an application-level Software Engineer, you will be experienced and passionate about customizing, optimizing, and developing our custom Android app. We are looking for a motivated, results-oriented, quality-focused engineer who understands app development at all levels and has developed on Android primarily throughout their career. This role will play a critical part in ensuring that weavix can grow as fast as possible, while keeping the product as useable and refined as possible.

What We’re Looking For:

We are seeking a driven and strategic individual focused on building and maintaining our Android app on our devices. Day-to-day responsibilities will include developing our next-generation features, resolving customer issues, experimenting with new ideas, developing proof of concepts, and refining our app for performance and reliability. You will be proficient in using tools to develop android apps, customize the app and features for performance and efficiency, dive into the code to resolve issues and create reliable solutions for our mission-critical customers.

Objectives of This Role:

• Develop our next-generation, in-demand, Android app features.
• Improve and maintain our existing features that our customers love and rely on.
• Dive into the code and root cause reliability issues, resolve and improve.
• Improve the performance and efficiency of our devices and products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on existing features to improve reliability and performance.
• Develop new features according to mission-critical engineering specifications.
• Root cause and resolve issues in our new communication features.
• Implement SW patches, resolve bugs, investigate problems, and integrate features.
• Create scalable and reliable features that will stand the high demands of our customers.
• Improve the efficiency and performance of our device battery and power consumption.
• You will be reporting directly to the Android app team lead.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• React Native development experience with TypeScript or Javascript.
• Android Native mobile development experience with Kotlin or Java.
• Strong communication skills, providing guidance, strategy, and a plan to execute from.
• Proven problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
• A strong desire to maximize digital communications reliability.
• Previous experience working with mobile apps.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or at least two years of relevant work experience.
• Experience as a developer working on Android OS on mobile devices.
• Node experience.
• IOS Native development experience using Swift or Objective-C.
• A high level understanding of embedded systems and hardware.
