Role Purpose

As we continue on this journey, we need to continue to support the agency business by creating, maintaining, and enhancing core applications that enable the agency to be more efficient.

As a UI Developer at WPP, you will be responsible for developing and implementing user interface components for our web applications. You will work closely with our design team and back-end developers to create seamless and visually appealing platforms that provide an exceptional user experience. The UI Developer will also work with the internal stakeholders for requirements gathering, UAT signoff and collaboration.



WHAT YOU’LL DO:


  • Develop responsive and dynamic web pages using HTML, CSS (Sass), and JavaScript.
  • Utilize Bootstrap for efficient and consistent styling across all projects.
  • Implement and manage complex UI components using Vue.js 2 and GraphQL.
  • Maintain code quality, ensure website scalability, and continuously improve the performance of applications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure smooth functionality.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED:


  • 4+ years of experience in the relevant field


Technical skills:


  • Proficiency in HTML and CSS (Sass).
  • Solid experience in Bootstrap framework.
  • Advanced knowledge of JavaScript and experience with Vue.js 2.
  • Hands-on experience with GraphQL.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles and web standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Desirable Technical Skills:


  • Familiarity with Vue.js 3 for future updates to our Hive system.
  • Experience with Node.js and Webpack.
  • Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker.
  • Experience with Element-UI or similar UI component frameworks.
  • Understanding of modern development workflows and version control tools, preferably Git
