About The Job

We are now looking for a frontend developer to join our team located at the Keizersgracht in the center of Amsterdam. Be our first in-house frontend tech hire and help shape our innovative marketplace to make work accessible for everyone globally.

We're currently working with an agency to develop our platform, and this will be our first internal FE position to grow the in-house tech team.

Objective

Spearhead the team’s technical success by building, validating, and maintaining the frontend technical roadmap.

Scope

  • Reporting to the co-founder.
  • Be the first in-house frontend tech hire.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web applications with a focus on performance and user experience.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of frontend applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployment processes.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve application performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Optimize frontend applications for speed and responsiveness.

Requirements

Technical skills:

  • Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and frontend interaction with microservices.
  • Strong grasp of frontend performance optimization techniques.
  • Experience with frontend testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with containerization and frontend CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts is a plus.

Experience

  • >5 years of work experience with mainstream frontend frameworks.
  • Proven track record of developing scalable frontend applications.
  • Experience in designing and implementing user-friendly interfaces.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on complex projects from concept to deployment.
  • Experience in managing and optimizing frontend applications in cloud environments.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with marketplaces and AI-driven projects.
  • Understanding of generative AI for frontend interactions.
