Unicon Logistics a 18 year old USA head quartered logistics company. Within India Unicon Logistics we have total12 offices and 3 business verticals i.e. 1) Freight Forwarding (Air & Ocean), 2) NVOCC-Liner, 3) Domestic Coastal Shipping.
Unicon Logistics, Mumbai Office is inviting interested candidates from freight forwarding background with a minimum experience of 3 years in Sales role for a position of “Assistant Manager /Manager – Sales (Business Development)”
Major responsibilities would include :-
1. Identify potential customers: Use referrals, networking, and cold calling to find new customers
2. Understand customer needs: Listen to customers to understand their logistics and Shipping related problems and challenges.
3. Present products: Demonstrate services and explain how we can help and add value by increasing efficiencies and improve cost effectiveness in their logistics and supply chain
4. Negotiate: Negotiate prices and terms with customers
5. Close sales: Overcome objections and secure customer commitment for a long-term association.
6. Follow up: Follow up with customers to maintain continuity and ensure satisfaction and address issues if any.
7. Prepare reports: Track sales activities and customer interactions, and prepare reports for management
8. Collaborate: Work with other departments to ensure a seamless sales process.
This position will be responsible to increase Revenue and Profitability through the acquisition of new accounts and selling additional services to an existing customer base.
Responsible for growing the business and achieve the Revenue and Gross Profit targets as set by the management from time to time through proper execution of sales strategy and focusing on key products and trade lanes as decided by the management.
Should be a Self-starter with leadership qualities and comfortable being part of a smaller team, enthusiastic about contributing to the growth of the company and most important compliance of company procedures and policies.
