Our first product is an AI-assisted Virtual Assistant Centre that transforms clinical administration and communications using cutting-edge AI technologies, including generative AI. We're in an exciting phase where we're rapidly iterating on our product based on market feedback and customer needs, and we're looking for a Lead Software Engineer to help drive our proof-of-concept and product-market fit journey.

Our mission is to push the boundaries of what's possible with AI while delivering real value to our customers. We're looking for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and isn't afraid to wear multiple hats as we navigate this exciting frontier.

What you'll do:

• Drive the technical implementation of our AI-powered features, integrating with various LLM models (like GPT-4, Claude, and others) to create innovative solutions
• Rapidly prototype and iterate on features based on customer feedback and market learnings
• Build and maintain both our frontend experience and backend services, ensuring seamless integration between AI components and user interfaces
• Design and implement scalable architecture that can evolve with our growing understanding of market needs
• Work directly with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback and quickly translate it into technical solutions
• Optimise AI model performance, handling rate limiting, caching, and cost optimization
• Build internal tools and dashboards to monitor AI performance and user interactions

What it takes to be successful in the role:

• An agile mindset with the ability to pivot quickly based on new learnings and market feedback
• Experience with AI/LLM integration, including working with REST APIs of major language models
• Full-stack development experience, with proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or similar) and backend technologies (Node.js, Python, or similar)
• Cloud Services: Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure, particularly services related to AI/ML deployments
• API Development: Strong background in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, including authentication, rate limiting, and efficient data handling
• Database Design: Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases for handling various data types
• Testing: Ability to implement effective testing strategies in a fast-moving environment
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex problems and find pragmatic solutions
• Growth Mindset: Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and adapting to changing requirements
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
