Position Overview:
Freddie Mac's Finance Division is currently seeking a Financial Controller Professional to handle monthly baseline accounting within the Multifamily CFO group. In this role, the individual will be responsible for the accounting close cycle execution, related financial reporting, financial results and data analysis. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with innovative thinking to improve processes and tackle issues, can independently settle and develop approaches to ensure accuracy or solution to issues, and is comfortable to work across divisions.

Responsibilities include:
* Perform monthly account reconciliation between the subledger to general ledger to source system
* Prepare journal entries in general ledger and subledger
* Research and resolve data or other issues as they arise in daily or monthly tasks
* Support and coordinate with internal and external auditors
* Support SOX documentation requirements
* Interact and communicate effectively with the business and other upstream or downstream partners to resolve issues and/or understand unique business transactions
* Support monthly analytics
* Prepare quarterly disclosures to support SEC filings
* Understand data lineage and controls relevant to assigned workstreams, along with the functionality of systems used
* Solve sophisticated business issues by putting pieces together and understanding how our systems work
* Support ad-hoc requests and special projects
Your Impact:
You will bring your financial proven experience and expertise to help ensure the accounting aligns with GAAP and Freddie Mac policy:
* Proactively seek opportunities for improvements
* Document and understand system and business requirements needs
* Demonstrate full ownership of issues or requests from start to finish
* Facilitate appropriate handoffs and supervise the task through to its resolution
* Identify issues and propose solutions to resolve the issues or to satisfy the stated needs
* Work independently while driving and leading assignments from concept through deployment
Qualifications:
* 2-4 years of experience in an accounting-related field
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired
* Intermediate to advanced MS Excel and Word Skills
* Overtime may be required to meet accounting close deadlines or other deliverables

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $75,000 - $113,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
