Hyde is looking to recruit a Financial Controller – PFI.

We’re seeking a highly skilled finance professional to lead financial strategy and performance reporting across our PFI operations. This is a great opportunity to influence key financial decisions, manage stakeholder relationships, and play a critical role in preparing for the successful completion of long-term PFI contracts.

Duties of a Financial Controller

• Lead financial strategy and performance management for PFI SPVs.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and contractual financial obligations.
• Oversee preparation of financial accounts, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
• Maintain robust financial controls, risk management plans, and long-term financial models.
• Support senior management with scenario planning and contract end preparation.
• Manage stakeholder relationships, including the Board, Client Authority, and contractors.

Skills and Experience Required

• Fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA or ACA (essential)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Financial Controller (or similar level) with at least 5+ years in Finance overall
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to stakeholders
• Experience in Asset Management, Real Estate or Insurance sectors (desirable but not essential)
• Advanced Excel skills essential; knowledge of Power BI is advantageous
• Experience preparing board reports or advising senior stakeholders (desirable)
