About the Role

A multinational FMCG organization is looking for a results-driven Finance Controller to lead its finance and accounting operations in the Philippines. The role will oversee general accounting, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance, while supporting strategic business initiatives through effective financial planning and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash flow, and month-end/year-end closings
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, statutory reporting requirements, and internal financial policies
• Lead the preparation of financial statements, budget plans, forecasts, and variance analyses
• Maintain strong internal controls and ensure timely audits and compliance reviews
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making
• Partner with business units and leadership teams on cost management, investment planning, and performance improvement
• Oversee tax filings, compliance with government regulations, and coordination with external consultants and auditors
• Mentor and lead a team of finance professionals, fostering growth and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with 3+ years in a leadership or controllership capacity
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations, financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS or local GAAP), and audit compliance
• Prior experience in an FMCG or multinational environment is highly desirable
• Proficient in ERP systems (preferably SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to manage stakeholders across various functions
