Position Summary:

The Financial Controller will oversee the financial and accounting operations of InsuranceAssist, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and contributing to strategic financial planning. This role involves managing financial reporting, internal controls, audits, and departmental leadership to support the company's mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to provide insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure timely dissemination of financial management reports, including monthly financial statements and annual budgets.
  • Internal Controls:
  • Design, maintain, and oversee the organization's internal financial control structure to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Establish financial reporting systems and controls to ensure compliance with company expenditure requirements.
  • Audit Management:
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulations, and addressing audit findings.
  • Prepare all analytical reviews and selected audit schedules.
  • Departmental Management:
  • Lead the accounting team, overseeing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, bank account reconciliation and ensuring adherence to financial policies.
  • Supervise staff productivity, including management of overtime usage.
  • Strategic Planning:
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies that align with the company's mission.
  • Provide strategic financial leadership on potential alliances, acquisitions, mergers, investments, and other issues affecting the business.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial management, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experience with cost reimbursement principles and healthcare revenue cycle is a plus.
