Summary

Position Summary


The Controller works closely with the CFO to design and execute a centralized accounting and finance function to support a multi-entity structure. As a hands-on leader, this position manages and executes day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, financial audit response, internal controls compliance, external CPA firm support, as well as cash flow optimization. This position is responsible for ensuring complete accuracy and data integrity, often within tight timelines and hard deadlines.



Position Highlights


  • Oversee execution of daily accounting functions, such as A/R, A/P, GL, cash management, etc for accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead and execute month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review periodic financial statements, and promptly share noteworthy findings with the CFO.
  • Perform advanced accounting tasks such as processing of accruals, account reconciliations, maintenance of fixed assets and associated depreciation schedules
  • Execute external audit preparation, response documents, and address audit findings
  • Partner with CFO on multi-entity annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Provide cash forecasts for company leadership as needed.
  • Design, develop, and manage a highly performing accounting team that will support multiple entities
  • Evaluate processes and procedures and make recommendations which promote improved accuracy and efficiency.
  • Share insights and experience with global ERP design team to support future process design
  • Operate in compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Other responsibilities as necessary to meet individual, departmental or company objectives.



QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience. Previous management experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and application of GAAP. CPA designation required.
  • Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards
  • Understanding of Intercompany and financial consolidation practices
  • ERP experience required; Microsoft Business Dynamics and Quickbooks preferred.
  • Demonstrated financial analysis skills.
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel strongly preferred.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to effectively work independently, as well as a team at all levels.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with proven problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
  • Ability to effectively work under pressure and meet deadlines with a high degree of quality.
