Who are we?

WRAP is a global environmental action NGO championing the shift towards a circular economy, fundamentally reshaping how we produce, consume, and manage resources. Our vision is a world transformed, in which Circular Living is commonplace. Where the systems that provide our everyday goods contribute to the world's prosperity and sustainability instead of reducing it.

WRAP is driving Circular Living through four key areas: accelerating the circular economy, future-proofing food, preventing problem plastics and transforming textiles. We catalyse action from policy makers, businesses, NGOs and citizens to make it happen.

We have offices in the UK, USA and Australia, and live projects in over 30 countries.

Join us at WRAP and you'll drive important change to make Circular Living the norm.

The role

As one of our three Finance Assistants, you will be an essential part of our friendly finance team, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. You will work closely with our Financial Controller and contribute to the day-to-day running of our Accounts Payable and Receivable functions. This is your chance to grow, learn, and thrive in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing accurate and timely financial transactions across multiple entities in our global organisation.
  • Assisting with the management of Accounts Payable, including handling supplier queries and maintaining supplier data.
  • Ensure supplier invoices and staff expense claims are logged, approved, and paid promptly.
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily and ensure all transactions are posted correctly.
  • Raise invoices and credit notes for customers and funders, send invoices via email or portal upload, and follow up on past due invoices to ensure timely payments.
  • Support the team with any other financial or accounting tasks as needed.

Who are we looking for?

  • Good communication and collaborative skills.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • An aptitude for working with different software and learning new systems and processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and experience of using financial software. Experience with Microsoft Business Central would be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to process financial transactions with accuracy and maintain detailed records.
  • Ability to organise workload and meet deadlines independently.
  • Experience working in Accounts Payable and Receivable functions is desirable but not a requirement.
