A high-growth start-up in the financial services sector is looking to hire a Finance Processes & documentation Lead to formalise, document, and optimise its finance processes and related system workflows. This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to build and own a structured framework for finance policies, procedures, and system usage guides from the ground up, in partnership with the CFO and senior finance leadership.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for designing, writing, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all key finance processes, including but not limited to accounts payable, expense management, financial reporting, and month-end close. This role will also include creating process maps, standard operating procedures (SOPs), control documentation, and user-friendly guides for using Workday across the finance function.
You will work closely with internal finance teams, Workday system administrators, and external consultants to ensure that policies and processes align with system capabilities, internal controls, and audit requirements. Your work will play a key role in embedding consistency, accountability, and operational efficiency within the finance team.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven professional with a background in finance operations, internal controls, or finance transformation. Experience working with or documenting processes within Workday Financials is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have the ability to translate complex finance workflows into clear, concise documentation suitable for training, onboarding, and audit reference. You must know what good looks like and being a qualified accountant who has helped implement Workday would be advantageous
