DFK Malta Recruitment Team, in partnership with our client, is seeking a qualified accountant to join our client's financial department as a Finance Manager, reporting to the CFO. Our client is a group of companies founded in the mid-70s, and is a leader in the property, automotive, and healthcare industries in Malta. They have handled important projects on the island, and to support their growth, they are seeking an additional member for their dynamic team.🚀

About the role:

As a Finance Manager, the selected candidate will report to the CFO and assist with the department's daily financial tasks. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified accountants seeking a chance to join a stable and solid company.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Preparing management accounts and internal reports.
• Handling VAT, tax, and statutory reporting.
• Assisting in preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and cash flow statements.
• Managing customer and supplier invoicing processes.
• Overseeing payment processes and performing bank reconciliations.
• Supervising day-to-day operations of the Finance department.
• Liaising with external auditors and consultants.
• Identifying and implementing financial process improvements.
• Ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and key deadlines are met.

Requirements:

• A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Maltese.
