About the Role


The HQ Finance Department Manager at Calls Over Ridges (COR) plays a critical leadership role in overseeing, coordinating, and strengthening financial operations across headquarters and local teams. This role is primarily responsible for supervising budgeting processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, managing audits, and maintaining transparent and accurate financial documentation. The Finance Department Manager ensures that COR’s financial activities align with organizational policies and international accounting standards, supports strategic decision-making through financial analysis and reporting, and implements strong internal controls across all locations. This is a headquarters-based role focused on internal financial management, with regular coordination with local teams and external auditors.




Key Responsibilities



Financial Management


Comprehensive Oversight:

  • Supervise and coordinate the financial activities of the headquarters and local teams to ensure compliance with organizational policies and international accounting standards.
  • Lead the development, integration, and analysis of budgets, financial reports, and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.


Compliance and Auditing:

  • Ensure strict adherence to Taiwan’s financial regulations, audit requirements, and the relevant regulations of each local team’s country.
  • Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits, implementing audit recommendations to strengthen financial integrity.


Receipt and Document Management:

  • Standardize and manage diverse types of receipts/invoices across countries to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Implement strong internal controls to maintain transparency and accountability in financial documentation.



Financial Reporting Oversight:


Supervise the preparation and review of key financial reports, including:

  • Monthly Financial Statements: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
  • Budget vs. Actual Analysis: Variance reports to monitor actual financial performance against the budget.


Grant and Donation Reports:

  • Customized financial reports according to donor requirements and grant agreements.


Expense Reports:

  • Comprehensive reporting by department, country, and project.


Tax and Compliance Reports:

  • Ensure timely submissions for headquarters and all local teams, including VAT, income tax, and social insurance contributions.




Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing roles.
  • Proven experience in overseeing budgets, financial reporting, and financial analysis in an organizational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of Taiwan’s financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience coordinating and supporting internal and external audits.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in financial documentation and reporting.
  • Ability to implement internal controls and drive compliance across multiple teams and countries.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, including the ability to collaborate with multicultural and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin.




Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience managing finances in nonprofit or international NGO environments, including donor reporting and grant compliance.
