Apply Description SUMMARY: The Field Service Project Manager is responsible for managing projects from the initial order entry through job completion for the customer. This role coordinates resources across multiple departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This position reports to the Field Service Manager. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary duties. * Lead and execute job specific Safety Training. * Lead the planning, implementation and scheduling of project timelines. * Define project scope, deliverables, specific tasks, and resource requirements. * Develop project plans, maintain comprehensive project documentation and track progress. * Collaborate with support and operations teams to manage project costs to ensure the project is completed within the approved budget. * Accompany Technical Sales Representatives on regular sales calls to qualify and promote Field Service opportunities. * Develop job specific Bills of Materials and coordinate purchasing activities with the Customer Service Team. * Track and monitor project progress to ensure timely completion of the project. * Report project progress to sales, engineering, management, and other stakeholders, presenting reports that define project progress, problems, and solutions. * Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project results. * Conducts post project evaluations, audits and assess project results. * Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget. * Review open order requirements to determine expedite needs. * Other duties may be required QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection. EDUCATION: * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, logistics, or project management is desired. EXPERIENCE: * At least five years of direct project management in a manufacturing or wholesale distribution industry. * Experience working in an ISO environment is desired Requirements SKILLS & ABILITIES: * Ability to effectively communicate verbally, in writing and actively listening for understanding. * Proficiency in reading engineering drawings. * Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail. * Self-starter with advanced time management skills. * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. * Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of project management, techniques and tools. * Proven ability to manage risk. * Strong work ethic pursuing a high standard of excellence. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, movement from area to area is required while transporting items such as a laptop computer, paper, books, small parts, or similar objects. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to a general office environment. This employee will be regularly exposed to a manufacturing floor environment with high noise levels, particulate matter, humidity, and temperature variances. Overnight travel and working outside normal business hours are required from time to time.
