Our client is one of the nation’s leading machines manufactures and they are looking to hire a Service Engineer. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on plastics/injection molding machines and 3+ years of field service experience. This is a remote position but requires travel across in the Northeast region of the US. Candidates should be based in the Northeast US.

Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: Remote, (90% Northeast US travel)

Required Skills And Responsibilities

• Service plastics/injection molding machines, including troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and installations.
• Creating and updating documentation of technical information.
• Strong electrical knowledge, including the ability to read and understand related schematic drawings, with the ability to read PLC programming as required to troubleshoot machine issues.
• Develop ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to Service.
• Provide support and training to Customer’s Service Engineers on the installation and maintenance of newer product lines.
• Build strong customer service relationships with customers.
• Manage difficult customer situations in a positive manner and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
• Ability to travel 90% of the time to customer (M-F travel, home weekends).
• Valid unrestricted driver’s license and US passport.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of plastics/injection molding machines.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and sequence ladder diagrams.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Compensation

• $70,000 - $85,000
