The role Tesla is looking for is a highly motivated Quality Engineering Technician to support cell and module failure analysis, lithium-ion cell component analysis, and data analysis in lab environments for the Cell Quality and Field Reliability team.
Available Shifts: Day Shift: 6:00AM - 2:30 PM, Night Shift: 10:00PM - 6:30AM
What You'll Do
Review field return cases to identify reason of returnAnalyze and interpret cell inspections and analysis data independentlyDocument results of tests in a clear and concise mannerPlan, setup, organize and maintain the battery lab space and equipmentPerform failure analysis of cells from modules and packs, including module checks, cell measurements, module and data analysis, and cell dissectionsTeardown of various module builds; extraction of cells with extreme careProvide feedback to vendors by reporting failure modes that are discovered and identified, keep track and record findings in manufacturing tracking systemsConduct both destructive and non-destructive cell analysisAnalyze and interpret data independentlyRetain confidentiality of testing, test procedures, and data at all times

Expected Compensation
$24.40 - $43.20/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
