Head Product & FTS – TBR Europe Department/Function: Product & FTS – TBR Europe Short description of the work field: We are expanding our Product & FTS team in Europe and are seeking a Field Technical Service Manager Europe TBR (Truck & Bus Tyres) to join our commercial organization as the technical representative of Apollo in the field. In this role, you’ll be the technical face from commercial side responsible for implementing a proper procedure in monitoring of tyre performance and the full implementation of it & tools across Europe. You will also be making sure all FTS Specialist are trained at a very high level to do their jobs and that all FTS activities are well connected with Product Management, R&D and PTS (Product Technical Services). This position reports directly to the Div. Head Product & FTS – TBR Europe. What will be your role in more detail? Team Leadership: Manage and coordinate the FTS Specialist Team, ensuring effective training on product performance monitoring, reporting, and claim handling. Technical Expertise & Support: Act as the primary contact for technical support in key markets (NL, BE, AU, HU). Claim Management: Oversee the registration, analysis, and resolution of claims across Europe, ensuring all claims are accurately recorded and processed in the system. Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement tools, procedures, and reports to monitor tyre performance and valorise product performance in the field via TBR Sales team & FTS specialist Collaboration & Insights: Work closely with PTS, Product Managment, and R&D teams to align on warranty policies, communicate issues, and deliver actionable insights from market observations and customer feedback. Are you our ideal candidate? We’re looking for a service-oriented, adaptable self-starter with experience in the tyre / automotive industry. Having Truck & Bus tyres experience is a plus. The ideal candidate is a natural leader that enjoys making their team grow and develop. In this role, you need to be skilled in reporting, technically sound, an effective communicator, and fluent in English and Dutch (additional European languages like German and Hungarian are a plus). Do you have what it takes? (requirements) Bachelor’s degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Over 5 years of experience in the automotive industry, with a background in sales or product development. In-depth technical knowledge and hands-on experience within the tyre industry. Strong understanding of product category differences in the tire business, with solid technical insight into various applications. Willingness to travel frequently (approximately 75% of the time in the field). Proficient in using IT systems like Tire Check to track, monitor, and analyze tyre mileage in targeted fleets.
