Job Description

Title- Sr.F5 Engineer

Job Type-Permanent

Location -Belgrade, Serbia

Work Mode: Hybrid-3 Days in an Office


Job Summary


The position to cover includes: to verify all F5 LTM VIPs are running correctly, verify logs in Syslog for ASM alerts, attend to request of ASM rejections with Support ID #, and report it immediately to the Team Engineers to solve any issue in a short time, be able to inspect changes reported by Logs, or BigIQ alerts. It will be recommendable if you have knowledge about BigIP-DNS to be able to take care of External DNS requests.




Job Responsibilities


  • The person who be in this charge has to participate if possible in all the development of the area to know them from scratch, it will be analyzing Syslogs to improve security on all the protected applications facing the internet at this moment (Task that only is done now, for have not enough personal to do it on a regular basis), take care of alerts of Nodes, Pools or any alarm that SolarWinds, Syslog, BigIQ or the F5 itself could be generating to improve the solutions of any new issues.
  • Let the rest of the team know about issues as well as new requests that could be arriving to the team.
  • The user needs to have a background understanding Network Technology, as well as routing since that is an important part of the understanding to ensure we don’t have any kind of flaw in the design or development of any project.
  • Also, it is recommended that knows about AD and Radius to understand AAA that we use on all our Access Applications




Job Requirements


  • Knowledge of F5 LTM, F5 APM , F5 BigIP-DNS, F5 ASM and F5 BigIQ Not required but preferable. Versions 11.5 to 15, in F5 Hypervisors, VIPRION not necessary, but preferable
  • Knowledge of Networking, Routing (BGP preferred), ZEBOS and ARM, including VRFs and Route Domains
  • Understanding Visual Editor, in APM and MFA technologies.
  • Understanding of NIST security protocols and process and ability to apply for, acquire and maintain NAC clearance. Preference given to persons currently possessing an active clearance in JPAS
  • Ability to troubleshoot remotely
  • Ability to work with customers and vendors IT teams to trouble shoot complex issues
  • Ability to work with internal teams to roll out new projects and trouble shoot issues
  • Minimum of 5 years F5 administration experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of Network trouble shooting and management experience



Candidate must demonstrate in depth knowledge in one of the following areas:

F5 LTM, F5 APM , F5 BigIP-DNS, F5 ASM and F5 BigIQ, Networking, Routing (BGP) ZEBOS and ARM, including VFR and Routing Domain.
