Job Title: Sr. Network Engineer

Job type : Permanent

Location: Belgrade, Serbia

Working Mode: Hybrid-3 days in an office

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and wireless networks.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve network issues.
• Troubleshoot complex network problems and provide timely support to end-users.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control lists.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure network compatibility and integration with other systems.
• Participate in capacity planning and network upgrades.
• Research and evaluate new networking technologies and make recommendations for improvements.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior network engineers.
• Participate in on-call rotation for network support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on design, implementation, and support.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, and QoS.
• Hands-on experience with various networking hardware and software platforms, such as Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto Networks, or Fortinet.
• Strong knowledge of network security best practices and technologies.
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
