Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid – Tuesdays & Wednesdays in-office)

Pay: $31+/hr (flexible based on experience)

About Our Client:

A global scientific organization preparing for a major milestone anniversary in 2026. They are hosting an international event series to celebrate, bringing together researchers, industry leaders, and institutions from around the world.

Job Description:

The Project Manager will oversee planning and execution for a high-profile global event series. The role involves coordinating multiple international events, managing stakeholders, and ensuring smooth project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan for the event series.
  • Coordinate legal agreements with host institutions and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage event timelines, vendor coordination, and registration tracking.
  • Process travel and expense reimbursements for external speakers.
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership and internal teams.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to analyze performance against KPIs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 5-7+ years in project management and events, preferably global events.
    • Open to candidates with 2 years in project management + 5 years in event execution.
    • Experience working with universities and senior executives is a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Asana (project management), CVENT (event management), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
