The Membership Services Department plays an essential role in providing co-ordination and administrative support, and amenities to the Club's 29,000 Members and their families.
The Job
Assist the Senior Event Sales and Operation Manager in the daily event sales and providing direction, training and coaching to the team to deliver, with excellent service quality across Clubhouses & Racecourses, the Events Sales functions as specified:
Handle incoming calls, enquiries, follow up on quotations, proposal, table booking agreement
Responsible for selling and execution of high-profile sponsorship /VIP events
Lead by example on maintaining standards, monitoring guests’ satisfaction and achieving set objectives
Conduct Telemarketing calls / Sales calls / Marketing Initiatives / Promotional Events in order to achieve budgetary financial individual and team targets and strengthen work relationship with Members
Attend meetings as assigned by the Senior Event Sales and Operation Manager and share with the team
Responsible for building an efficient team and ensuring continuous improvement by taking an active interest in the welfare, safety, development and motivation of staff
Constantly seek to improve service standards, reduce costs, increase sales and offer suggestions to Management relating to the foregoing activities.
Handle responsibilities such as employee recruitment, employee orientation, job performance appraisals and, coaching to ensure staff productivity
Ensure all staff concerned are clearly briefed of and are trained with regard to activities such as evacuation procedures, typhoon procedures and all other house rules/ regulations
Overall responsible for the ‘on the job training’ of staff in the department so as to meet the agreed Club standard
Deal with staff issues as per Club policy & procedure, when required and in close liaison with the catering management and HR department
Maintain and manage the resources and assets
Initiate requisitions while adhering to the budgeted expenses equipment, furniture and fixtures
Manage the team:
Manage manpower utilisation to align with expected workload and advise on staff promotion plans
Review staff rosters
Review staff talent development
Prepare regular reports on:
Budgeting, Forecast and Monthly Business Analysis
Marketing input
Drive a team whose performance in service excellence and business performance are the level of role models for peers
Identify and make use of target segment in cold calling, networking with contacts and using social media marketing to create new business on an ongoing basis
Perform any other related duties as and when assigned by the supervisor
About You
A university degree or higher diploma in Hospitality Management from a leading hospitality institution
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in which 5 years’ experience in managerial level in a sizable and premium hospitality operations
International hospitality experience is preferred.
Excellent people management practices with good communication skills
Fluency in Cantonese and English. Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
Supervisory experience in the field of Event Management
Terms of Employment
