The Harbourview, a 320-room hotel, conveniently located at the waterfront of Wanchai, is now inviting qualified applicants for the following position:-

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the F&B Manager in formulating a yearly strategic sales plan. Execute, monitor and evaluate the plan on regular basis;
• Identify and solicit new business opportunities through catering sales marketing including conducting sales call and through online platforms;
• Prepare different banquet packages and coordinate with Executive Chef on menu design and coordinate with Sales Department for MICE segment;
• Prepare event proposal and discuss details with clients professionally, use upselling sales techniques to attain more revenue;
• Liaise and coordinate with all concerned departments in prior to the event to ensure the smooth delivery of professional services;
• Attend sales meeting and report the banquet activities on a regular basis prior to the event to ensure the smooth delivery of professional services;
• Answer inquiries related to banquet information and handle complaints from clients;
• Conduct regular survey of competitor hotels;
• Candidate with more experience will be offered the post of Senior Event Sales MANAGER.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Tertiary education, preferably with hotel school training;
• Minimum 3-year experience in catering sales, preferably with supervisory experience;
• Solid sales experience in F&B, particularly in banqueting and wedding planning and with strong sense in food & beverage market trends;
• Flexible and responsible. Willing to follow up events in evenings, weekends and public holidays;
• Self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills;
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
• Immediately available is preferred.
