Position Overview
The Estimator for Commercial Roofing will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs and ensuring profitability for roofing projects. This role involves collaborating with project managers and clients to develop detailed and competitive bids, while also analyzing project specifications and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for roofing projects.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary data for bids.
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Prepare and present comprehensive bid proposals to clients, detailing costs and timelines.
- Monitor market trends and pricing to maintain competitive edge in estimates.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts and scope of work with clients and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates and project documentation for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial roofing industry.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills for cost analysis.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Project management experience is a plus.
