Position Overview

The Estimator will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase of projects by providing accurate cost estimates and project analysis. This position involves collaborating with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure that all aspects of project pricing are considered and accounted for, enabling informed decision-making and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for a variety of construction projects
• Collaborate with project managers and architects to assess project requirements
• Conduct quantity take-offs and analyze project plans and specifications
• Utilize PlanSwift software for accurate take-off and estimation processes
• Review and analyze bid proposals and negotiate prices with subcontractors and vendors
• Provide support to project management teams throughout the construction phase
• Maintain and update cost databases and pricing information for future reference
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to ensure comprehensive understanding of project scope
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Experience with project management principles is a plus
• Proficiency in PlanSwift and other estimation software
• Ability to perform accurate quantity take-offs
• Experience with ground-up construction and commercial projects
• Familiarity with public works projects and relevant regulations
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities
