Role: ERP Engineer

Salary: Circa £47,000 (dependent on experience)

Location: Hybrid (3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification)

Security Clearance: Must be a British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship (restrictions may apply)

The Opportunity:

As an ERP Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in improving engineering processes and optimizing ERP systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that master data, including material masters, BOMs, and routings, are accurately defined, maintained, and aligned to deliver efficient manufacturing and planning outcomes. Your expertise will influence process improvements that support customer delivery and enhance SAP system usage across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive improvements and standardization using ERP systems, especially SAP
• Manage audit strategies in line with master data policies
• Extract, interpret, and communicate data from SAP to understand cause and effect based on decisions taken
• Review engineering processes to ensure alignment and robust MRP output
• Provide first-line support for daily issues and troubleshooting
• Contribute to the Operational Excellence workstream, promoting data integrity across the ERP environment
• Generate and distribute KPI packs and manage auditing strategies for master data
• Implement processes for inputting routing times into SAP to enhance capacity and scheduling
• Work with cross-functional teams to create new assembly structures and implement process improvements to better support SAP use
• Generate and review detailed requirement analysis documents and functional specifications
• Collaborate with outsourced support partners to enhance SAP, including system testing, training, and ongoing support
• Perform system regression testing for new SAP releases or upgrades
• Create and maintain SAP user guides

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: HNC Level of qualifications or equivalent
• Experience: Proficient in using ERP systems (SAP experience is highly beneficial)
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a proven track record of process improvement
• Certifications: APICS supply chain certification is desirable but not essential
• Experience with: Managing master data, engineering processes, and implementing SAP enhancements
