Job Title: Environmental Project Specialist
Job Description We are looking for a highly skilled Environmental Project Specialist to join our dynamic environmental team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various projects across Southern California, leveraging their deep understanding of regional regulatory requirements. This position involves assisting project managers with financial, technical, and regulatory aspects to ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality, budget, and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive support to project managers in financial, technical, and regulatory matters.
- Effectively coordinate assignments and ensure smooth workflow.
- Mentor and coach junior-level field staff, fostering their professional growth.
- Implement and oversee quality control, planning, cost estimating, and scheduling processes.
- Lead environmental field observation and testing programs.
- Assist in managing various remediation projects, ensuring they meet all technical and regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed technical reports that align with project scope, quality objectives, and client expectations.
Essential Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Over 6 years of relevant consulting experience in Southern California, with expertise in environmental regulations, site investigations, characterization, remediation technologies, operation and maintenance, and construction.
- Professional registration as a PE or PG in California, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire (preferred).
- Strong proficiency in writing technical reports.
- In-depth understanding of environmental engineering, consulting, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in environmental investigations, site characterization, and remediation.
- Excellent project management skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in civil engineering, construction management, geology, site assessment, Hazwoper, environmental construction, budget management, and regulatory compliance.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
