Advertised Job Summary
The Department of English at the University of South Carolina invites applications for one-semester adjunct instructor positions. The teaching load will be 1 to 4 sections (10 to 40 hours per week) in our First-Year English program (Teaching English 101 and English 102) during the Fall 2022 semester. Appointments are for one semester, but have the possibility of being renewed.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a degree of M.A. or higher in English or a related field, completed by August 1, 2022. Preferred candidates will hold a terminal degree (a Ph.D. in English or an M.F.A.), and have a minimum of two years’ experience teaching English at the college level, with evidence of effectiveness.
