What To Expect
As a member of Tesla's Hardware Test Engineering group, this Engineering Technician will thrive in a fast-paced environment, working closely with Test Engineers to meet tight deadlines and drive results. This hands-on role involves assembling and disassembling seats, as well as removing and reinstalling vehicle components to facilitate testing. The Technician will also design and build test fixtures, execute tests, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring seat systems from concept to program release. What You'll Do
Utilize various tools, including calipers, digital multimeters, force gauges, torque wrenches, and DAQsSolder, crimp, and read wiring diagrams to support electrical testing and troubleshootingExecute tests, including setup, teardown, inspections, maintenance, and retrofits, and operate forklifts to move equipment in and out of chambers and lab spaceAssemble and prepare test fixtures, including support structures, devices under test, controllers, wire harnesses, and test equipmentDocument and report issues identified during tests or inspections to support continuous improvementSupport engineers with instrumentation and data acquisition to ensure accurate and reliable test resultsUse power tools, such as bandsaws and drill presses, to fabricate test equipment and fixturesPerform seat teardowns and inspections to support testing and validation activities

Expected Compensation
$24.40 - $43.20/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
