About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the largest and most advanced producer of refractory metal products in the US and the world. As Engineering Manager, you and your team will be responsible for all aspects of the company’s tungsten heavy alloy products and production technology. You will direct cost estimating, manufacturing, and process engineering activities. To be successful in this position, you should have robust experience within metallurgical and machining environments. This role is based out of Mi-Tech’s HQ in Indianapolis, IN, and reports directly to the Managing Director.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supervise cost estimating activities and production processing activities
  • Establish manufacturing processes and control parameters to comply with regulatory and industry standards, and customer requirements
  • Assist Sales in determining customer material requirements and provide technical advice on the suitability of materials
  • Determine and implement process improvements and cost reductions
  • Participate in industry associations and attend industry conferences and seminars
  • Oversee raw material selection and qualification, and provide input to supplier development and inventory control
  • Support the administration of environmental controls, regulatory requirements, and customer portals


What We Expect from You

Experience, Education, Skills, Traits

  • BS degree in Engineering
  • Min. 10 years of experience in powder metallurgy or related manufacturing environments
  • Proven leadership abilities, organization, and time management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and engineering software
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
