Engineering Manager

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for ensuring execution of all process and reliability engineering responsibilities and projects. The Engineering Manager will lead the Process Engineering Team and Engineering Technicians to ensure the facility has the capability to reliably and consistently meet Materion’s objectives and deliver to our customer’s requirements as it relates to safety, quality, and lead time.

You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Develop Engineering and continuous improvement plans to meet overall long and short term company goals.
• Develop, recommend, and monitor machine and process checklists, preventative maintenance programs, standard operating procedures, and other reliability related aspects to ensure consistent operation as it relates to safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Participate in product margin, manufacturing variance, and cost of quality reviews and assist in or lead root cause analysis and long-term corrective action development.
• Participate in new product specification reviews to ensure and advise on process capability of requested requirements.
• Lead and manage capital projects to enhance operational capabilities and efficiencies.
  
  
  

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical degree with 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, and supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be proficient in computer programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Previous experience with SAP and Minitab or other statistical software a plus.
  
  
  

Pay Range

$98,900.00 - $158,100.00

Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on Materion’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with Materion’s business requirements.
