We are part of the PSBU group, specializing in the design and manufacturing of connectors.
We focus on high-power connectors and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams for project execution.
What You Will Do
Take responsibility for new product design (NPI) and modification design (MOD).
Follow the PDP process. Collaborate with peers, supervisors, project managers, other engineering groups, production facilities, application tooling groups, and testing centers.
Responsible for understanding and working towards fulfilling VOC in close collaboration with product management.
Responsibilities include dealing with CAD software, engineering change technologies such as SAP, presentation tools such as PowerPoint, and analytic tools such as Microsoft Excel.
In charge of communicating with global production units, reviewing inspection results, and providing disposition.
Oversee design projects from concept to production. Track project milestones, identify potential risks, and put mitigation methods in place to ensure timely delivery. Responsible for self-planning.
Responsible for understanding DVP&R.
Good understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack-up.
Basic understanding of DFMEA.
Good knowledge of analyzing results of ANSYS Icepak, FloEFD, ANSYS workbench, Abaqus structural simulations.
HyperMesh knowledge is an added advantage.
Familiar with scripting or automation (APDL, Python) to streamline mesh generation, batch solves, and post‐processing workflows
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Excellent skills in CAD software (Preferred NX CAD).
Understanding of the product development process.
Basic knowledge of SAP, ERP, and PLM systems.
Design of electromechanical products such as connectors or switches is preferred.
Confident and capable of handling conference calls.
Knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, and tolerance stack-up.
What Will Put You Ahead
Previous experience as a Product Design Engineer.
1 year to 3 years of experience in product design, with additional advantage in plastic and sheet metal design knowledge
