Marecomms Inc. - Paid Internship, Embedded Systems Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia Marecomms was founded in 2017 in Halifax, NS, Canada to provide advanced wireless communication and remote sensing solutions for maritime environments. Our AQUABAND technology is the world’s first subsea acoustic wifi solution, and changes the game in terms of underwater broadband capability. Project Summary We are looking for candidates who are in the final year of their studies in Electrical Engineering or in a closely related discipline residing in Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). You will be assisting the future development of our embedded system design with a particular emphasis on: 1. C/C++, Python, MATLAB code development and real time execution, 2. Working on Data Acquisition Boards (DAQ), 3. Development of our proprietary hardware using PCB tools and programs, 4. Playing an active role in our future sea trials and field tests, 5. Building and maintaining the most suited operating platforms for our devices, 6. Meticulous document writing in great detail in a timely manner, 7. Assisting pre-sales and marketing activities. Preferred 8. Working knowledge of digital communications, probability, signals and systems. 9. Resident of HRM , either in the final year of studies, or recently graduated from a post- secondary educational institution in the last 12 months. Requirements 1. Enrolled in, or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or a closely related discipline in HRM, 2. Ability to perform in a high-paced environment. All qualified applications are welcome to submit their applications.
