About the role: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Electrical Design Engineer specializing in Power Systems with 5 – 10 years of experience to Lead our engineering team with a specialized focus on materials. The successful candidate will manage the design and development of advanced electrical power systems, ensuring the optimal selection and use of materials to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness.
You are expected to do:
• Lead, Mentor and Manage a Team of Electrical Engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Oversee the design and development of detailed electrical power systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams and layout drawings.
• Manage project timelines, budgets and resources, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, clients and stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
• Provide expert technical support and guidance. Troubleshoot complex electrical and material related issues and conduct rigorous testing and validation of systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IEEE, NEC, IEC). Implement and promote safety measures in all engineering activities.
You will be a great fit if you have:
• 5 - 10 years of relevant work experience with B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in designing SLD/3-lines/control schematics, Electrical control panels, MV Switchgear Panels, Substations, MCC and PCC panels etc.
• Sound knowledge in Breaker sizing, Cable sizing, Busbar sizing, cable routing etc.
• Hands on experience with NFPA, NEC, NEMA and UL standards-Preferred.
• Experience in electrical component selection and BOM preparation.
• Knowledge of various protection schemes.
• Working experience in software’s like AUTO CAD (Mandatory)
• Experienced in leading a team of design engineers.
