Job Summary:

We are seeking two experienced Electrical Controls Engineers to join a growing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for developing and maintaining electrical, pneumatic, and software designs for automated assembly and testing equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment meets functional specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze design requirements, generate schematic diagrams, create bills of material, develop PLC and HMI software, and validate designs through simulations and testing.
  • Produce clear and functional electrical, pneumatic, and software designs aligned with concept requirements and customer expectations.
  • Complete necessary documentation for internal and external communication, including detailed drawings, schematics, programming, and bills of materials.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to tools, software, and processes to reduce design errors and inefficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience in automation.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical Controls Engineering.
  • Proficiency in the following software: MS Office, AutoCAD, SQL, Ladder Logic, Rockwell Studio 5000, Rockwell FactoryTalk View Studio, and comparable platforms (e.g., Siemens Portal, Step7/WinCC, Omron, Automation Direct – DirectSoft).
  • Experience with configuration, programming, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, VFDs, stepper/servo drives, motor control circuits, and power distribution systems (up to 600 VAC).
  • Skilled in drafting one-line diagrams and schematics using AutoCAD; AutoCAD Electrical experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Codes and Industrial Electrical Standards (NFPA, NEC, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D solid models.
