Job Description General The E&I Engineer is part of the Engineering team, providing the necessary guidance to E&I designers and supporting project managers in the execution of several investment projects. He/she works in very close collaboration with Production, Maintenance and Process Departments. As a member of one or more project teams, the E&I Engineer is responsible for E&I engineering of new installations and takes an active role in the design, construction and start-up of new installations. He/she can act as a project manager for E&I projects. The scope of this role is the Tessenderlo Kerley International business unit (international liquid and solid fertilizer business). The role is based in Ham, part of the Engineering team and reports to the Engineering manager. Responsibilities E&I engineering support and expertise Organizes, plans and controls E&I engineering activities within the TK Int engineering department (e.g. design, procedures, documentation) Expert role on E&I equipment for the TK Int BU Expert role on high voltage equipment for the TK Int BU Assists project managers and process engineers with design and selection of E&I components Provides guidance to the lead designers on E&I related issues Explores the market for new equipment and E&I contractors, together with procurement Management of standards Creates and maintains the E&I Standards and manages technical specifications Advanced/structured analysis of production equipment in support of operations and maintenance activities (e.g. troubleshooting, best practices, standards…) Project Engineering and Project Management Acts as a E&I project engineer for the portfolio of engineering projects at TK Int Can act as project manager for projects with specific E&I scope and can act as the lead for E&I issues in larger projects Safety and environmental regulations Oversees the compliance with the relevant safety and environmental regulations. Knowledge & application of norms and regulations Qualifications Master’s degree in Engineering specialized in electrical engineering and/or instrumentation Typically 5-8 y experience Profound and broad knowledge and experience in electrical engineering and/or instrumentation Profound knowledge of high voltage systems Experience in a project environment and/or considers project management as a personal strength.
