Job Purpose : Designs, develops, and tests software and systems for consumer and commercial devices.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Design and Development :
• Develop and optimize embedded software for IoT devices, focusing on Linux and Android-based systems
• Implement and maintain device drivers, memory management, and storage optimization techniques
• Work on device security certifications, including AWS IoT Core or similar platforms
• IoT Protocols and Connectivity :
• Implement and manage MQTT protocols for efficient device communication
• Design and develop solutions for device data aggregation, normalization, and canonicalization
• System Optimization :
• Optimize system performance for resource-constrained environments
• Ensure robust and secure device operation through rigorous testing and validation
• Collaboration and Integration :
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IoT solutions with cloud platforms and other third-party services
• Work closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless software-hardware integration
• Domain Expertise :
• Leverage experience in digital signage or broadcast set-top boxes (STBs) to enhance product capabilities
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies in IoT and embedded systems

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Android internals
• Hands-on experience with device drivers, memory management, and storage optimization
• Familiarity with IoT platforms such as AWS IoT Core or similar
• Proficiency in MQTT and other IoT communication protocols
• Experience with device data aggregation, normalization, and canonicalization
• Exposure to digital signage or broadcast STB technologies is a plus
  
  

Technical Skills

• Proficient in C/C++ and Python for embedded systems
• Experience with embedded debugging tools and techniques
• Knowledge of device security standards and certifications
