SaveLIFE Foundation (SLF) is on a mission to save lives on roads across India. Since 2012, over 1.5 million people have been killed in road crashes in India and close to 5 million have been left seriously injured or permanently disabled. Besides the insurmountable emotional trauma that thousands of families must suffer each year, road crashes deal a crushing economic blow to many families.


SLF is a fast-growing, specialized organization with a proven track record of delivering large-scale impact. We are best known for getting India its Good Samaritan Law and developing the “Zero-Fatality Corridor” solution to transform dangerous highways into

“safeways”. We are registered as a not-for-profit organization to ensure complete mission alignment.


Our teams work in a creative environment to build novel solutions and thrive on problem solving. Over the last 15 years, we have built unique strengths in areas such as forensic investigation of crashes, data analytics and predictive modeling, safety design and engineering, public policy formulation, and strategic communication and training. We strive for excellence in everything we do and build leaders through opportunity and mentorship.


We are seeking a director of partnerships who can strategically grow and nurture our corporate and institutional funding relationships. This role operates at the intersection of relationship management and business development, ensuring alignment with SaveLIFE Foundation’s mission and goals. The position reports to Founder and CEO, Piyush Tewari.


Role and Responsibilities:


As the Director, Partnerships for SaveLIFE Foundation, you will play a pivotal role in nurturing and growing our portfolio of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and institutional funding partnerships while building new ones. This entails:

Strategic Partnership Development:

○ Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships to advance SLF’s mission and goals.

○ Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, corporations, foundations, and international organizations.

○ Lead the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with SLF’s strategic objectives.


Resource Mobilization:

○ Develop strategies for acquisition as well as retention of donors through targeted engagement and relationship building.

○ Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to secure financial and in-kind support from diverse sources.

○ Prepare compelling proposals, presentations, and reports for donors and partners.

○ Monitor and manage grant and funding agreements, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and effective utilization of resources.


Forecasting and Planning:

○ Provide inputs on future trends based on strategic forecasting and planning considering the challenges and organization’s long-term objectives.

○ Ensure regular updates to senior management team on new insights and emerging opportunities.


Stakeholder Engagement:

○ Represent SLF at high-level meetings, conferences, and events to advocate for road safety and emergency care initiatives.

○ Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including policymakers, industry leaders, and community organizations.

○ Collaborate with SLF’s communication team to develop and disseminate impactful communication materials for stakeholder engagement.


Program Support and Management:

○ Work closely with program teams to identify partnership opportunities that support programmatic goals and enhance impact.

○ Provide strategic guidance and oversight to ensure effective implementation of partnership initiatives.

○ Monitor and evaluate partnership outcomes, reporting on key metrics and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.


Team Leadership and Development:

○ Lead and mentor the partnerships team, fostering a collaborative and high- performance culture.

○ Develop and implement professional development plans to enhance team capabilities and performance.

○ Ensure alignment of team activities with SLF’s strategic priorities and organizational values.


Professional Experience:


● Strong writing, research, editing, and communication abilities.

● Overall 10+ years of experience with appropriate qualification. At least 5 years of experience in strategic partnerships, cause-marketing and fundraising.

● Exceptional networking, sales, and business development skills.

● A proven track record of solving problems, negotiating with partners, and securing substantial gifts.

● In-depth understanding of the institutional and CSR funding community.

● The ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

● A passion for creativity and a desire to stay up-to-date with industry trends by continuously learning new ways of doing things.
