The Director of Strategic Analytics is an important leadership position responsible for overseeing Levi Strauss & Co.'s distribution analytics function. Reporting into the VP of Distribution & Logistics for U.S. & Canada, you will sit within the US and Canada Distribution team, supporting our largest segment of the global D&L group. This organization’s emphasis is to provide applicable insights to customers that allow decision-making across Levi's distribution channels. You will work with the distribution avenues that put LS&Co.'s products in front of customers. Areas of focus include leading analytics for retail wholesale deals and informing go-to-market D&L approach, opportunity assessment and valuation analyses that span retail and e-commerce, provide measures that promote strategic understanding for LS&Co.'s portfolio of distribution channels, and provide market intelligence to contextualize performance and support its growth.

About The Job

  • Focus on standardization and centralization of reporting, automation and digitalization, enhanced visibility and collaboration and organizational agreement and empowerment
  • Lead a team of data and business analysts to analyze data, identify trends, opportunities, and challenges across our distribution channels to provide strategic guidance to senior management.
  • Develop frameworks and strategies for evaluating distribution value and shaping LS&Co.'s positioning. Lead S&OP data collection and evaluation processes for the US and Canada teams on the D&L focus areas.
  • Prepare thought-provoking executive level presentations on the retail, ecommerce and wholesale landscape, informing competitive performance across multiple channels.
  • Evaluate impact of distribution, partnerships, or programming changes in collaboration with partners.
  • Establish relationships with research teams across the company to share insights and maintain a well-rounded view of the fashion and retail landscape.
  • Be the expert in a wide array of retail data sources, knowing what is best to use for the task at hand.
  • Use data visualization tools to present findings in a compelling and easy-to-understand manner for team members at all levels.
  • Lead analyses that involve querying large datasets to evaluate opportunities and address distribution evolution.

About You

  • 10+ years of experience in insights, strategy, consulting, or a related function.
  • Interpret partner needs and remain focused on business impact while also understanding data and analytical methods.
  • Proficient in leading and motivating diverse teams to achieve project goals.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Data Visualization & Reporting Tools – proficiency in Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization platforms for real-time reporting.
    • ERP & Supply Chain Systems – Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) and transportation management systems (TMS).
    • Advanced Analytics & Data Modeling – Ability to analyze large datasets using SQL, Python, or R for predictive modeling and trend analysis.
    • Automation & Digitalization – Experience in process automation tools (e.g., Alteryx, UiPath) to enhance efficiency in reporting.
    • Data Governance & Standardization – Knowledge of best practices in data integrity, governance, and global standardization frameworks.
    • Exception-Based Reporting & Root Cause Analysis – Ability to develop automated exception reporting mechanisms and conduct root cause analysis.
    • Performance Metrics & KPI Development – Expertise in defining, tracking, and optimizing supply chain KPIs related to visibility, efficiency, and compliance.
    • Cloud & Database Management – Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and database management (SQL, Snowflake, Redshift).
This is a hybrid position based in our San Francisco, CA headquarters. You will be expected in office 3 days per week typically Tuesday-Thursday. Note, time in office can vary depending on business needs.

The expected starting salary range for this role is $144,800 - $219,300 per year. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on factors such as relevant education, qualifications, performance and business needs.
