Summary

Required: Master's Degree in Educational Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of direct HR management experience in a school district setting, overseeing both certificated and classified employees. Extensive experience in labor relations, compliance, and personnel investigations. Located at the northern tip of Silicon Valley and just 10 miles south of San Francisco, this small preschool to grade 8 district is the home to four elementary schools and one middle school. Home to YouTube, Walmart.com and numerous other businesses, the city is a hub for tech and innovation. The city is geographically diverse, ranging from the urban flatlands to the central greenspace of the San Bruno City Park to the grand sweeping Bay vistas from the highest hilltops of the community. Through the generous support of the San Bruno community, the district is the recipient of a recent facilities bond to rebuild aging infrastructure. The district maintains a strong financial position as a result of new and increasing revenue sources. The San Bruno Park Board of Directors recently approved a 9.5% raise over two years for all educators in the district demonstrating its commitment to attract and retain talented staff across the district. Job Summary Job Summary Under direction of the Superintendent and/or designee, the Director of Human Resources is responsible for the leadership, development, and oversight of all aspects of Human Resources for certificated and classified personnel across the district. This includes recruitment, credentialing, hiring, contract administration, employee relations, labor negotiations, compliance, compensation, investigations, professional development, policy development, and legal compliance. The Director of Human Resources Officer ensures district-wide adherence to collective bargaining agreements, Title IX compliance, Uniform Complaint Procedures (UCP), labor laws, and district policies, while building trust and maintaining strong relationships with all employee groups, administrators, and the Board of Education. The position is responsible for strategic workforce planning, contract administration, conflict resolution, risk management, and HR department operations, ensuring the district recruits, retains, and supports a highly qualified and diverse workforce.
