The Director of Business Development will lead the commercial business development efforts in the Austin market for a Texas-based general contractor. The ideal candidate will come from a sub-contractor, general contractor, engineering/architecture firm, commercial furniture sales, or a real estate broker and have exemplary communication and organizational skills along with the ability to build relationships and manage multiple priorities. The Director of Business Development will be experienced in the AUSTIN, TX commercial construction market and have prior success at generating new business while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities Include:

• Research potential new business in market.
• Leverage existing relationships to pursue new business.
• Manage teams to ensure follow-through and success.
• Be an expert in the commercial construction industry, including target markets, competitors, company contacts.
• Engage effective strategies to attract new clients.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and other departments to meet proposal requirements.
• Travel as needed to maintain relationships with clients and new prospects.
• Stay up-to-date on latest industry developments.
• Attend industry conferences and other networking opportunities.
• Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
• 5-10 years of experience in the commercial construction industry
