What You Will Do

Hitachi Cooling & Heating Solutions UK & IRE are driving business growth and seeking a Direct Account Manager to build long-term, trusted relationships with our customers. This will involve developing close connections with installing contractors, consultants, M&E companies, and end-user clients.

The role primarily focuses on driving sales of VRF, Chiller, and Heating systems into the HVAC market through direct sales with contractors and M&E companies. This is a regional position covering London and Southeast, requiring frequent travel within these areas to ensure effective coverage for the business.

How You Will Do It

  • Act as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Build and nurture strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Provide design and application advice to customers, promoting energy-efficient solutions
  • Work closely with customers to negotiate contracts/projects and close agreements to maximise profits
  • Identify new business opportunities with existing clients and areas of improvement to meet sales targets
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Proactively introduce our product portfolio, offering installation requirements, features, and benefits
  • Deliver presentations on product features and benefits, CPDs, and legislation requirements

What We Look For

  • At least four years of technical HVAC experience (knowledge of Hitachi HVAC solutions or competitors preferred)
  • Experience in air conditioning, chillers, heating, and control systems, with the ability to guide clients through design concepts
  • Understanding of current legislation
  • Experience presenting via PowerPoint and providing system training
  • Technical competence in system design
  • Ability to multitask client requests efficiently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of initiative and personal organisation
  • IT literate, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, CRM (Salesforce), and Outlook
  • Enthusiastic, structured, methodical, and self-motivated
  • Collaborative and supportive approach towards the team and clients
  • Innovative mindset to support product launches and promotions
