I'm working with a Manchester-based client that’s investing heavily in their technology landscape and seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer from a Development background to join their growing team. This is a key hire for the business, giving you the chance to contribute to high-impact digital projects and influence how infrastructure and delivery pipelines are shaped moving forward.

About the role:

You'll be embedded in a cross-functional engineering team responsible for driving automation, improving scalability, and evolving their deployment pipelines. This is a hands-on role best suited to someone with solid engineering roots and a strategic mindset around cloud and architecture.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), particularly in architecting and supporting scalable, secure environments
  • Practical knowledge of container orchestration using tools such as Kubernetes and containerisation with Docker
  • Experience setting up and optimising CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps toolchains
  • Solid understanding of API-first design, distributed systems, and modular service architectures
  • Strong experience with Laravel/Symfony
  • Background in coding or scripting – preferably with Python or PHP – with a focus on automation and infrastructure-as-code
  • Familiar with solution architecture concepts and structured methodologies such as TOGAF or similar frameworks
  • Ability to guide technical teams and communicate effectively across business units

What We’re Looking For

  • A minimum of 5 years in the tech industry, ideally with recent experience in cloud engineering or solution architecture roles
  • Confident operating in fast-paced, Agile environments and balancing multiple priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage both technical stakeholders and wider business users
  • Professional certifications (AWS Architect, TOGAF, etc.) are a bonus

Perks & Benefits

  • Salary up to £65,000, depending on experience
  • 25 days annual leave + your birthday off
  • Free gym membership
  • High-spec company laptop
  • A modern, collaborative office in Manchester with 4 days per week onsite

If you're passionate about cloud technology, love working on high-impact platforms, and want to be a valued member of a growing engineering team, get in touch today to find out more or apply with your CV.
